Not SRK or Prabhas This Actor is Highest Paid Star
Rajinikanth's Jailer hit the screens on August 10 and still running successfully in the theaters.
Thanks to Jailer, Rajinikanth has reclaimed his title as the highest-paid actor in Indian cinema. The Nelson Dilipkumar-directed blockbuster has revitalized Rajinikanth's career. Fueled by the immense love and support of the audience, Jailer has obliterated every conceivable box office record, particularly in the realm of Tamil cinema.
Rajinikanth's earnings for Jailer reportedly stand at a staggering Rs 210 crore. The iconic actor received a substantial Rs 100 crore as his acting fee for portraying the character of Muthuvel Pandian in the film. Additionally, he was entitled to a share of the film's profits amounting to Rs. 110 crore. Kalanithi Maran, the producer of Jailer and chairman of Sun Group, generously shared a portion of the film's profits with Rajinikanth.
The official Twitter handle of Sun Pictures conveyed this significant achievement, stating, "Mr. Kalanithi Maran met Superstar @rajinikanth and handed over a cheque, celebrating the historic success of #Jailer." It's worth noting that Rajinikanth has held the title of the highest-paid Indian actor in the past. Just before the release of his S Shankar-directed film Sivaji: The Boss in 2007, he was reported to be the highest-paid Indian actor and the second highest-paid Asian actor.
In recognition of the grand success of Jailer, Kalanithi Maran, the film's producer, presented Rajinikanth with a BMW X7. A selection of car models was offered to the esteemed actor, and he chose the BMW X7. The moment when Kalanithi Maran handed over the keys to the brand-new car to Rajinikanth was shared via the official Twitter handle of Sun Pictures with the caption, " #JailerSuccessCelebrations continue! Superstar @rajinikanth was shown various car models and Mr. Kalanithi Maran presented the key to a brand new BMW X7 which Superstar chose."
In an impressive comeback, Rajinikanth has silenced his critics with the monumental success of Jailer. Teaming up with Nelson Dilipkumar, he reaffirmed his superstar status. With the support of a talented ensemble cast and Anirudh Ravichander's electrifying background score, Jailer provided a spectacular theatrical experience. The film continues to dominate at the box office, solidifying Rajinikanth's enduring appeal.
