Writer and filmmaker T. N. Krishna seems excited about his next entertainer, Hippie. Starring Karthikeya Gummikonda in the lead role, the director said that the film is “a youthful entertainer”.
“Hippie is a film for everybody. The protagonist is a genuine soul who speaks his heart out and prefers to live in the moment. Every character has a unique identity and drives its narrative,” says Krishna.
Inspired by a 14th Century poem, the film is going to be unique in it’s own way.
“When a boy falls in love with a girl, it must feel like paradise. And if she responds positively, then it is paradise lost. But if they break up, then it is paradise regained. Everybody wants to be in the cycle, and that is what the film is about,” he explains.
Talking about the casting, the director says, “I was supposed to direct the Tamil RX100. Later, however, I saw Karthikeya and felt that an original script would make a big difference to the project.”
