For the climax of the historic film Gautamiputra Satakarni, the 100th film of Nandamuri Balakrishna, the unit will leave shortly for Georgia to film the scene where the protagonist Satakarni will fight it out with Greek soldiers.
Directed by National award-winning director Krish Jagarlamudi, there is intense anticipation about how the director will bring to screen the life of the Telugu warrior.
It is reported that nearly 1,000 soldiers, 300 horses and 20 chariots will be used to shoot the sequence. This will be the major episode for the film, after which the crew will focus on regular scenes.
“We had planned the schedules accordingly. The first schedule included the war scene that appears before the interval and was shot in Morocco. In the second schedule, we shot the war scene that opens the movie in Hyderabad, in an expensive navy vessel setting. Now, with this third war scene in Georgia, we will complete the climax,” said director Krish. He added that a lot of computer graphics have been used for the film, which has music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
