Excise officials land up at Rana Daggubati's studio, check parcel from Dubai
Producer and Rana's father Daggubati Suresh Babu told media that the officials verified the parcel.
Hyderabad: Following the Tollywood drug scandal, alert Excise and Enforcement officials on Wednesday checked Ramanaidu Studio regarding a parcel that came for actor Rana Daggubati from Dubai.
Based on information from courier services, circle inspector of Excise department Ms. Kana-kadurga held checks in Ramanaidu studio.
Producer and Rana’s father Daggubati Suresh Babu told media that the officials verified the parcel. “It was equipment bought from Dubai for getting relief from back pain while sitting in chairs and cars,” he said.
As the Enforcement department found during investigation of seven drug cases that drug peddlers were getting drugs from the Netherlands and other European countries through couriers, it issued notices to a few courier services and directed them to increase surveillance.
