Nearly a week after the successful release of \'Chithha\' in Tamil, its Telugu version, titled \'Chinna\', is ready to hit the screens.
Siddharth's recent film, 'Chithha', directed by SU Arun Kumar, has garnered immense praise from both critics and audiences since its release. The movie was initially set for a simultaneous Telugu release on September 28, but due to limited screen allocation in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the film faced delays. Asian Films has now stepped in to distribute the movie. Siddharth was visibly moved during the pre-release event, shedding tears on stage.
The collaboration between Siddharth and director SU Arun Kumar in 'Chithha' was a hit with the audience. The film features Nimisha Sajayan, Baby Sahasra Sree, and Anjali Nair in pivotal roles.
Nearly a week after the successful release of 'Chithha' in Tamil, its Telugu version, titled 'Chinna', is ready to hit the screens. A press conference on the Telugu release was held in Hyderabad on Tuesday and while talking to media, Siddharth disclosed that leading distributors in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Red Giant Movies and Sree Gokulam Cinemas, had watched the film and lauded it as one of the best in its category. "In Karnataka, the producers of 'KGF' watched the movie and secured its rights," he added.
Addressing the delay in the Telugu release, Siddharth said, "The film was supposed to release simultaneously in Telugu. But many questioned, 'Who will come to watch Siddharth's movies?' I told them that if I make a good film, people will come to see it. It was initially slated for September 28, but we couldn't secure theaters for this reason. Sunil Garu from Asian Films recognized the film's potential and supported me. I haven't made a film as good as this. I won't reiterate the plot or recall 'Bommarillu' and my other films. If you believe in cinema and enjoy it, please watch it. After watching, if you decide you don't want to see any more Siddharth films, I won't hold press meetings like this."
Written and directed by SU Arun Kumar, 'Chithha' is a compelling emotional thriller that delves into the harrowing issue of child abuse. The movie serves as a crucial medium for spreading social awareness about how to handle individuals, especially children, who have experienced abuse, the subsequent impact on their families, and how to provide support.
Produced under Siddharth's own banner, Etaki Entertainment, 'Chithha' is ruling the box office, thanks to the positive word of mouth and the powerful message it conveys.
