As T-town’s adorable couple Samantha and Naga Chaitanya get ready to tie the knot in a three-day celebration in October, preparations are on in full swing for their grand destination wedding in Goa. Most important of all, the trousseau for the bride and groom is being custom made. One of the things the actress is all set to wear on one of the days is a vintage sari of D. Ramanaidu’s wife D. Rajeswari, the maternal grandmother of her fiancé.

Kresha Bajaj, who had earlier designed the engagement sari of the actress, which grabbed a lot of eyeballs owing to the unique story embroidery on it, has been brought in this time too.

We asked Samantha, who will be sporting a gown for a Christian ceremony on one of the days, as to why she was reviving an old sari, and if it was a conscious effort on her part to encourage the handloom revival campaign that she has been running for several days, she shares, “I don’t have to make a conscious effort. It comes very naturally to me because as a person, I love anything that is vintage and old. I love things that have a story connected to them. And this is my own story.”

Elaborating on her love for vintage, the actress shares, “I collect vintage items. In fact, much of the jewellery I own is vintage. I am really glad and honoured to be wearing it.”

Apparently, Kresha will be giving the sari a totally new spin by adding some modern touches.
