The Movie Artistes Association (MAA) wants to celebrate its silver jubilee in style. “Senior actors Chiranjeevi, Mohan Babu, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh and Jayasudha have accepted to be mentors and guide us for this year’s events,” says Sivaji Raja, MAA President. He added that Nagarjuna has given the permission to use his studios for free.

Sivaji also requested all artistes to join the association. “There are many artistes who are taking home lakhs of rupees in remuneration. I appeal to them to join in MAA, otherwise we are not going to cooperate with them. If they are not joining, our actors won’t act with them,” he says.

Senior actor and politician Murali Mohan says a letter has been given to the Cyber Crime SP regarding a few websites that write against actors.

“Some of the websites are writing indecent stories on some actors. Stories of celebrities are always highlighted. Sometimes these are hurtful. So we’ve given a complaint to the police,” he says.
