Bunny Vas slashes team 2.0
Anyway, it is to be seen how these films and their makers deal with the scenario.
The Team 2.0’s announcement that their film will release on April 27 next year, hasn’t gone down too well with several Telugu filmmakers who have been planning to release their films on the same date. In fact, the makers of Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya and Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu have already been in talks with each other to reach a consensus, since both of them have announced the exact same date for releasing their films.
Openly criticising the team of 2.0, and directly addressing LYCA Productions for the announcement, producer Bunny Vas, a close associate of Allu Aravind, took to social media. “@lyka productions (robo 2.0)..... we respect ur movie but ur changing of release dates is affecting regional movies’ release dates a lot ....me (naa peru surya naa ellu india) and dhanaya garu (bharath anu nenu) are in talks for an understanding ....i will take this issue to the producer’s council and exhibitor associations AP & Telangana ...we stand for our date commitment ...maybe this will be helpful for regional movie releases in future also ... (sic),” he wrote.
It’s quite ironic how this seems to have struck them only now; the same situation is often faced by smaller Telugu films that have to wait for long periods in order to get a suitable release date amidst all the other major releases. Anyway, it is to be seen how these films and their makers deal with the scenario.
