Nithin puts Powerpet film on hold
Actor Nithin puts the Krishna-Chaitanya directorial, Powerpet, on hold
Nithin looks like he’s playing a waiting game around director Krishna Chaitanya’s film. Apparently, Powerpet, an action drama, was supposed to take off last year but got delayed because of the pandemic, its second wave and the subsequent lockdowns.
However, another thing apparently bothering Nithiin is that he felt that the story of the film resembles the story of another film, Maha Samudram, which is headed for an August release.
Because Nithin wants to ensure there are no similarities between the two, he’s asked the director to wait till Maha Samudram releases, after which to make changes in the script, as may be necessary.
“Moreover, the date diary of the leading lady Keerthy Suresh is extremely packed. She is supposed to simultaneously shoot for Sarkaru Vaari Paata with Mahesh Babu as well as another Tamil film before joining the sets of Powerpet. Since the shooting schedules of those two films have also been postponed due to pandemic, her date diary has also been chaotic,” informs a source.
Meanwhile, the actor has green-lit director Vakkantham Vamsi’s script for producer Tagore Madhu. The film will commence shooting after the lockdown.
