Pawan Kalyan keeps up his word
But since he had already committed to taking up the issue of sand scarcity, he did not want to backtrack on it.
Pawan Kalyan is all set to make a comeback with the Telugu remake of Pink, directed by Sriram Venu and co-produced by Dil Raju and Boney Kapoor, who are making arrangements to launch the film on January 20. Prior to commencing work on the film, however, the actor-turned-politician recently spoke at the Long March organised by his party on the issue of sand scarcity in AP, where he touched upon his comeback too.
“If the Jagan government is good, I can go and do my films,” he said, issuing an ultimatum of two weeks to the government to resolve the issue, failing which he announced that he would protest more.
However, a source from the industry observes, “Since Pawan has signed on a new film, he may not protest against the Jagan government anymore.”
But since he had already committed to taking up the issue of sand scarcity, he did not want to backtrack on it. “He should concentrate on this issue now, as it may not be easy to complete the film if he takes regular breaks in between,” adds the source.
