Shakalaka Shankar in demand

Several actors from Jabardast, one of the small screen’s popular comedy shows, are making their debut on the big screen. Shakalaka Shankar, one of the well-known comedians from the show, made his film debut a couple of years ago and has become a busy actor now.

In two recent releases — Intlo Deyyam Nakem Bhayam and Saptagiri Express, the comedian appeared throughout the film along with the lead actors. “He is now charging a remuneration of one lakh per day, quite a good amount that is given only to the top comedians,” says a source. Actor Brahmanandam is on top of the comedian’s list when it comes to remuneration, followed by Ali.
