In a fitting tribute to the godfather of many big names in the industry, legendary producer D. Ramanaidu’s elder son Suresh Babu has erected a special memorial ‘The Nurturing Hands’ at their Ramanaidu Studios, where the late producer was cremated. Ramanaidu’s 80th birth anniversary is being observed on Monday.

“This reminds us about how my father nurtured all of our family members and several technicians. That is why we decided to come out with this memorial,” says Suresh Babu.

He remembers his dad as a person who taught everyone dedication, punctuality, professionalism and discipline. The memorial will be a reminder of the great legacy of Ramanaidu. The stone for the construction of the memorial was brought from Auroville, Pondicherry. A peepal tree was planted at the site last year.

Monday will also see the opening of a museum at  Ramanaidu Studios in Vizag. “All the ornaments used for filmmaking from the beginning till now will be displayed there. The technology and old outfits used in films like Srikrishna Tulabharam and Ramudu Bheemudu, the cameras used earlier to now and many other things will be on display too,” he added.

Ramanaidu’s younger son,  actor Venkatesh remembers his dad as a very caring person. “He always loved everybody. He taught us good values, which we want to pass on,” says Venkatesh.

Rana Daggubati has big plans to carry forward his grandfather’s legacy. “I will interact with students and get feedback from them, according to which we will help them. Like him, we too want to encourage new talent and in the coming few years, you can see the output,” he says.
