I'm comfortable working with new directors: Sudheer Babu

On the auspicious occasion of Karthika Pournami, actor Sudheer Babu announced five projects. One of them includes a film with writer-turned-director Harshavardhan. The film is touted to be a love thriller and will be entirely shot in the US.

Ask the actor what made him green-light the project, and he says, “Naturally the story and my character sketch! It’s a first-of-its-kind for me and I thought the script had the potential for a unique portrayal. The visual appeal of the film makes it a feast for the audience, and I am looking forward to it.”

The Prema Katha Chitram star also says that he’s comfortable working with new directors. “Several of my earlier films, too, were helmed by new directors, including my last hit Bhale Manchi Roju. I feel newcomers are more open to ideas and discussions and I am very comfortable working with them. Also, I feel newbies bring a fresh perspective to the script.”

Interestingly, the actor has also turned producer for his next project under director Rajasekhar Naidu. “Turning a producer has always been on the cards, but I was so fascinated with Rajasekhar’s script that I wanted to bankroll it myself.  The film is a love story blended with emotions and has a fatherly angle to it. I’m really excited to produce the film under my home banner, Sudheer Babu Production,” shares the actor.
