Varun, Ravi Teja approached first for Savyasachi
Unable to progress with these actors, the film was eventually accepted by Naga Chaitanya.
The recently released Savyasachi has left its audiences far from impressed. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the movie stars Naga Chaitanya and Nidhhi Agqerwal. Everyone has flayed the director Chandoo for his poor writing that failed the film despite the support of the filmmakers.
Interestingly, Chaitanya was not the first star approached by the director, who had previously narrated the story to two other actors. He had first approached Varun Tej with the same subject and it was supposed to be backed by another production house. But somehow it didn’t materialise.
Then, the director approached Ravi Teja for the same. “Ravi Teja liked the subject and showed interest, but due to differences between the producer and the director, it didn’t go forward,” says a source. That’s when Chandoo approached Naga Chaitanya, who agreed. Mythri Movie Makers, the producers of the film wanted to make it big and roped in some good technicians and actors, but still the director couldn’t make an interesting film. However, the producers should also be blamed for this debacle, as they were clueless about the subject and how the film was shaping up.
