Chitra Shukla's T-town story

The actress talks about her second Telugu film Rangula Ratnam.

After making her debut with Maa Abbayi, Chitra Shukla will next be seen in Rangula Ratnam opposite Raj Tarun. The romantic entertainer is being helmed by Sri Rajani.Talking about her role, the Indore-born actress says, “I play an independent working woman. I am a responsible girl who discharges her duties well,” adding, “I can draw a lot of similarities between the role and my real life as I am independent too. I never took pocket money from my dad and earned for myself by tutoring students.”

Mentioning how she landed the project, Chitra shares, “I  auditioned for dialogue and expressions, and the filmmakers were impressed with my performance and roped me in.”

Chitra also reveals that her Tollywood journey so far has been enriching. “It’s been a great experience and I have a learnt a lot. From language and dialogue delivery to diction, I have picked up several things,” says the actress.

Describing director Sri Ranjani as someone with a sharp vision, the actress says, “She’s a perfectionist and the clarity of thought she has is fantastic. I know how difficult it is to get things done and I have observed her a lot on the sets; she’s really inspiring.”

On her co-star Raj Tarun, Chitra says, “He’s very professional and smart.He even helped me with my lines.”
