Varalaxmi to headline a comic thriller

After having put up a spirited performance in films such as Krack and Naandi, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is set to enthral the audience yet again. This time, the Pandem Kodi 2 star will be seen starring in a comic thriller to be directed by Swamy who earlier penned the story for Prabhas-starrer, Darling.

Giving us a sneak-peak into her role, which she calls intense, Swamy states, “I can’t reveal what she plays but I can tell you why I picked her. We have seen her stellar performances in her last two Telugu films. She was simply superb. We felt that she could carry the intriguing character with élan.”

Swamy added that the actress was also excited when she heard the narration. “Her character also evokes laughter, so the character has some interesting shades, so it’s a dynamic role and we are confident that she can pull it off,” Swamy further shares, adding that the film will go on floors soon.

While the director is finalising the remaining cast, he states that the film will be a comic thriller with interesting turns. “This is a concept-based film where the story prominently revolves around only principal characters,” he signs off.
