Jr NTR's Jai Lava Kusa is not a rip-off of Ajith's Varalaru
Amidst allegations that Jai Lava Kusa is a copy of Ajith's Tamil film Varalaru, it was reliably learnt that the two films are different.
Jr NTR is playing three roles in his upcoming film Jai Lava Kusa, which is reportedly inspired from Ajith’s Tamil film Varalaru.
However, according to a unit source, the subject of Jai Lava Kusa is completely different from the Ajith-starrer. After the news appeared, the Tamil producer approached the Telugu filmmakers to file a complaint. “But when the writer narrated the story of the Telugu film, the producer realised that it is a different film,” says the source.
In the Tamil version, Ajith played a father and two sons, but Jr NTR is not playing a father’s role in the Telugu version. “He is playing three young characters, which are good, bad and ugly, and the is completely a screenplay based,” adds the source.
The shooting of the action-drama is presently going on. K.S. Ravindra (Bobby) is directing the film while Nivetha Thomas and Raashi Khanna are the female leads.
