Since the release of the big budget movie,  Rajinikanth-starrer Kabali, has been pushed from July 15 to July 22, many small Telugu films are now planning to release their movies in the gap. This also includes Allari Naresh’s Selfie Raja, which is all set to release on July 15.

“We brought the remake rights three years ago and worked hard on the story. We have taken only 30 per cent of the story from the original film and have added the rest on our own,” says Allari Naresh. He added that four writers worked on the script and believes that the movie will be a hit.

“Unlike my earlier movies, this movie doesn’t have any spoofs. Also, many people complained that my earlier movies did not have much comedy, so I want to concentrate on that part in my next,” says Naresh.

Naresh also added that the story is about a guy, who runs into a problem because of his selfies. “We completed the film in 60 working days, around half of which was spent on the chasing scenes. But it is not an action entertainer, this is completely a comedy film,” says the actor.

Sakshi Chowdhary plays the female lead in this movie and has been paired with Naresh for the second time. Eswar Reddy is the director, while AK Entertainment is producing this film.
