Samantha spent just 24 hours in Hyderabad?

Pretty actress Samantha reportedly came to Hyderabad and everyone expected that she would promote her latest film ‘Kushi’ but she didn’t do any of such things. She flew back to the USA after just 24 hours of stay at her home. “She was just here for a day and immediately left for the US to continue her treatment. She didn’t even listen to new scripts, so her visit was a big surprise,” says a source.

Probably, she was hoping that ‘Kushi’ would be doing well in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, similar to collections in the USA, and wanted to boost the collections with her promotions.

Later, she would have gotten to know that the collections were dipping and avoided joining any kind of promotions. “With heavy rains adding to collections woes in the two Telugu states, she would have left the city without participating in promotional activities,“ he adds.

No doubt, she was elated with the initial collections and with the film rocking the North American box office; she shared a video with US distributors who called her their ‘lucky charm’.  “I take that,” she said in the video.

However, her charm could not spin box office magic in the two Telugu states as the love story lost its way after their separation. “Unfortunately, even her last Telugu film ‘Shaakuntalam’ was a miserable flop. Whereas, her female-oriented film ‘Yashoda’ set the box office on fire. We have to see what will be her next in Telugu,” he concludes.
