Naga Chaitanya and Samantha finally official!
Here's the lowdown on Naga Chaitanya and Sam's intimate, beautiful wedding ceremony in Goa.
It was the moment we had all been waiting for! Naga Chaitanya, the elder son of actor Nagarjuna and actress Samantha, finally tied the knot on Friday at 11.43 p.m. The entire ceremony, that was held at a hotel in Goa, was simple and traditional. Other than a few people from the industry, the wedding ceremony was attended by 120 people including the members of the Akkineni and Daggubatti family as well as Samantha’s kin. Vennela Kishore, Adivi Sesh and Rahul Ravindran were some of the stars who took part in the celebrations.
It all started with the Baraat. Everyone took part in the dancing. “Nagarjuna’s two-and-half-hour dance was the highlight of this programme. He also got others like Vennela Kishore to dance,” says a source. Along with him Venkatesh, Suresh Babu, Rana Daggubati, Chaitanya, Samantha and all the kids from both the families danced to different songs. Not only were there songs from the Akkineni and Venkatesh family, but the song from Chiranjeevi’s latest film ‘Khaidi No.150’ was also played at the event. ‘Ammadu Let’s do Kummudu’ from Chiru and ‘Blockbustere’ from Allu Arjun’s film were the highlights. The other songs that were a hit are ‘Soggade Chinni Nayane’ and ‘Kanne Pettaro’ from Hello Brother.
The dance programme ended at around 10 p.m. and they prepared for the wedding. “It all started with a pooja and then Chaitanya tied the thali exactly in time for the muhurat,” says the source. That’s when Sam got all emotional. She regained her composure in about 10 minutes, especially after being consoled by the Akkineni family. After that the ‘Thalambralu’ session took place, followed by the ‘Ungaralu’ ceremony. All this was followed by a photo session. The next morning there was a pooja, followed by lunch — a good Telugu bojanam.
