Baddie turns hero
Anoop plays the lead in Telugu-Kannada bilingual Udgharshana.
Actor Thakur Anoop Singh might have started off playing the bad boy in films like Singham 3, Rogue and Winner but he will soon portray a good boy in the upcoming Telugu-Kannada bilingual film Udgharshana, in which he will play the main lead alongside Kabali actress Sai Dhanshika.
“I am not a bad guy in real life although the characters I have played so far have been like that! And that’s why this is going to be a new challenge altogether. Also, though I dubbed for myself in Telugu earlier, I will be doing so in Kannada for the first time,” he shares.
We ask Anoop how he landed this role and he shares, “Director Sunil Kumar Desai saw me at the audio launch of Rogue and thought I was a perfect fit for this character. The story is a suspense thriller, but has the theme of love at its core and I am looking forward to this,” shares Anoop who plays a “die hard lover” in the film. Elaborating on the role, he says, “The director has sketched the character keeping my body language in mind. Also, I am a lover of languages and am being able to work on a film in two languages. This is an exciting prospect for me.”
