Chiranjeevi is all set to start his next film Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy from August onwards. The film’s pre-production work is currently underway and the makers are scouting for different locations.

According to a source, the makers are planning to approach Rana Daggubati for a powerful role in the biopic. “It’s a very important role and the makers want to rope in Rana for it. However, they have still not yet approached the actor as he was busy with Baahubali promotions,” says a source.

The historical film is directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Chiranjeevi’s son and actor Ram Charan, who is a good friend of Rana’s.

“A book in the British Library on Indian freedom fighters has nearly 100 pages on Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy, so there is a lot to know about him to make an interesting film,” says a person who is working in the writing department.
