The making of Amma
The film on Jayalalithaa, which has been stalled several times, will now have a new ending.
For long, we’ve heard that Faisal Saif of Main Hoon Rajinikanth fame will be coming up with a film titled Amma. Based on the real and reel life of the late Jayalalithaa, the former chief minister of TN, the movie was meant to be released in many languages, including Telugu.
Although the film started a few years ago, it is still at the production stage. Ragini Dwivedi plays the central character. The makers reportedly changed the climax of the film after Jayalalithaa went to jail and was later released on bail.
The film has still not released and with Jayalalithaa’s demise, they will have to rework the climax again.
Ragini Dwivedi, who plays the central character along with Prashanth and Rajpal Yadav, confirmed that there would be lots of changes now. “A lot of changes have been happening as the NOC says we need permission for things shot in the film in case of any relevance. Besides, with her demise, we need to shoot the climax again. This is going to take some time till everything settles down,” says Ragini who is sad about the sudden demise of Jayalalithaa. She further adds, “I am in awe of her. What a leader and what a face of woman power she was!” The film will release in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
