Suriya's Si3 morning shows cancelled in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

The Suriya-starrer Si3 was released with much fanfare on February 9, in Telugu and Tamil. But the Telugu version of the film didn’t screen as per the schedule and all the morning shows were cancelled in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. According to a source, the screening got delayed due to some financial problems.
The Telugu distribution rights were bought by Malkapuram Shivkumar for a huge amount. “Shivkumar, however, had some money pending and he did not pay the Tamil film producer until the last minute. So, one of the producers of the film, Gnanavel Raja, didn’t release the cubes (film print copy) to a few theatres on Thursday,” says a source.
All the shows were booked completely and people thronged multiplexes and theatres in the morning, but when they found out that the shows were cancelled, they argued with the theatre authorities. Gnanavel Raja, came down to Hyderabad from Chennai, early in the morning to settle the issue. Post the talks, the shows were screened from noon onwards.
