Director Srinivas Raju’s world of Dandupalya, as seen in the first two films of the series, will finally come to an end. The third film in the series will mark the end of the franchise, which has received a great deal of critical acclaim in both Kannada and Telugu.

Speaking about how the film became a franchise, Srinivas shares, “From the time the story was conceived, I knew it couldn’t be made in one film. That’s how we announced two films even before we began the first one. We shot a major part of the third film while working on the second film, and then with the story becoming too long, at some point we needed to make the third film.”

While the series has received acclaim, Srinivas is quite happy with the audiences’  response too. “That’s the best thing to happen. We made an honest film. I am glad people connected to it. This would have been nothing without their support,” he concludes.
