Sakshi Chaudhary, who was last seen in James Bond as the lead actress, is gearing to impress everyone as a 15th-century queen in her forthcoming film Suvarna Sundari. Directed by M.S.N. Surya, the bilingual (Telugu and Kannada) also features Poorna. “The story spans across three generations and I play a queen from the 15th century. The interesting screenplay will keep the audiences glued to the seats,” Sakshi reveals.

The actress will also be seen performing sword fighting and action sequences in the epic drama. “For one of my Tamil films, I underwent training in sword fighting, so I got a hang of it back then. But I enjoyed beating up the baddies; it was really fun,” she explains, adding, “One day, while performing the scene, the sword has accidentally hit my support artiste’s finger. He started bleeding immediately, but luckily it wasn’t a major injury.” She admits that she is consciously attempting to pick up macho roles. “Yes, I want to connect to the people in a better way and I think they will be able to remember me if I do roles that are meaty and substantial,” says Sakshi.
