Anasuya has always enthralled the audience with her unrehearsed ease in front of the camera — be it on television or in films. And the trailer of her forthcoming film Kathanam is just another illustration of her acting chops.  The Kshanam actress will be seen as an assistant director in the suspense thriller directed by Rajesh Nadendla. “In my role, I write a script as an assistant director(AD) and strangely, whatever I write in my script happens with me in real life as well. I get entangled in a murder case after cops suspect me, and how I prove my innocence is grippingly narrated,” Anasuya reveals.

Anasuya also said that she is friends with several assistant directors and has tried to imbibe their body language in her role. She said, “ADs are very enthusiastic. They are like the building blocks of a movie. My role also depicts their real struggles in becoming a filmmaker.”

Explaining her fascination for thrillers, Anasuya says, “The reason I took up this film was because of its story and screenplay,” adding, “I think thrillers are watched and enjoyed by all kinds of audiences. It puts them on edge about what might happen next.” The actress feels glad that filmmakers have started writing roles for her. “I feel liberated and stronger. It gives me the freedom to choose from the roles that I am offered, and yes, I have been choosy when it comes to picking roles.”
