Harshvardhan Rane is not deserting Telugu cinema
He also lets out a little secret that he's brushing up his Telugu speaking skills.
Harshvardhan Rane, who found fame in Telugu cinema first, before making his Bollywood debut this year, is all set to sign yet another Telugu film within a month. This puts to rest the belief that he has given up Telugu cinema and sold his home in Hyderabad!
“Not true! In fact, at this moment, I am in the process of locking in on a very big Telugu film. Details are still being worked out,” reveals Harsh.
He also lets out a little secret that he’s brushing up his Telugu speaking skills. “I think I speak fluent enough Telugu to dub my own lines. But so far, I’ve not been allowed to. But this time around, for my new Telugu film, I’ll speak in my own voice.”
As for rumours about selling his house, Harsh laughs, “What house? I’ve never owned one in Hyderabad nor in Mumbai. I am a nomad. I don’t like to be tied down by earthly possessions. When I shoot in Hyderabad, I stay in hotels. In Mumbai, I share a rented apartment with my former girlfriend and her boyfriend,” he confirms.
Incidentally, Harshvardhan has also signed on a very prestigious Hindi film, which is Bejoy Nambiar’s remake of Mani Ratnam’s Agni Natshatram.
Reveals the young actor, “I’ve read at least 39-40 scripts in Hindi. I wanted to be very sure of what I will be doing next both in Hindi and Tamil. No actor today can afford to make mistakes.”
