Ram Gopal Varma clears air on Prakash Raj as Lakshmi's NTR
RGV revealed that the film will not be political just because the producer is in YSRCP.
Ram Gopal Varma was recently in the news when he announced that he was planning to make Lakshmi’s NTR, a story based on the life of the late NTR. And ever since the director shared a poster of the film on one of his social media accounts, it has aroused much curiosity around who will be playing the lead role in the biopic.
Although popular actor Prakash Raj’s name has been doing the rounds in media reports, the director has quashed all the rumours. “Some media news circulating that Prakash Raj is doing the role of NTR in ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ is absolutely false.. just wanted to clarify this matter ..No casting has been done and details with regard to this will be revealed as and when it happens (sic),” posted RGV on Facebook. The director also said that the film will not be a political one just because producer Rakesh Reddy belongs to the YSR Congress Party.
When questioned whether he had met Lakshmi Parvathi before announcing Lakshmi’s NTR, he replied, “No. I didn’t meet her.”
Amid so much speculation, one can only wait and watch how the director projects NTR and who he ropes in to play the lead.
