Director Puri Jagannadh has roped in Vishu Reddy as the main antagonist in his forthcoming film Mehbooba. Mr. South India (2009) Vishu Reddy earlier played a meaty role in Naga Chaitanya’s debut vehicle Josh.

The actor shares, “Several months back, Puri sir saw my martial arts and other videos and approached me for the baddie role. After various rounds of auditioning, he finalized me. It’s a dream come true for me.”

Ask the Hyderabad-born about how he is preparing for his part and he adds, “It’s an intense and challenging role for which I have gone for a makeover from head to toe. Puri sir was wary about minute details regarding costumes, hairstyle, etc. The film has a quite a few action scenes to perform and since I am trained in martial arts, I have been preparing well for my role. I have already started shooting for my part.”

A fashion graduate, Vishu is awaiting the release of Trayam.
