Excerpts from the interview
Q After debuting with the Telugu film Potugadu, why did you say goodbye to Tollywood?
Because I could not move to Hyderabad because of which, I need to have someone who can manage my professional assignments in Tollywood. However, after many years, I did get a call from Radhe Shyam makers. My happiness knew no bounds and I instantly said, “Yes.” And believe me, when I got the call from my casting agent, I didn’t even think of asking what my character in the film is. It all happened so quickly. No sooner my manager had asked me if I’d be interested, then I signed this role without a second thought. Next day, I was on the sets in Hyderabad. I’d honestly have happily accepted it if it was a one-scene role I had in it. I am just blessed that what I did get is a great part. I am just grateful for the opportunity bestowed upon me and to be able to work with the entire team of Radhe Shyam.
Q What’s your role like in the film? Do you have a track in the film with Bhagyashree, Prabhas or Pooja Hegde?
Presently, I can only reveal that it’s for an important character, around which the plot revolves. As for the track, mine is an altogether different track though it is not with Bhagyashree. I cannot reveal the rest. You will just need to watch the movie to see what I am doing in it. [Smiles]
Q So are we to assume that with Radhe Shyam, you will be more visible in Tollywood?
Obviously, there is no bye-bye to Tollywood, and I shall make conscious efforts to get South-Indian projects.
