Vishal all praises for Rana Daggubati at Rayudu song launch
Vishal praised Rana a lot, especially for his help during the Chennai floods.
The music of Vishal’s film Rayudu released on Wednesday evening at Park Hyatt with Rana Daggubati attending as special guest. On the occasion, Vishal praised Rana a lot, especially for his help during the Chennai floods.
“Rana is a very good friend and we are always in touch. During the Chennai floods, I got a call from somewhere in Chennai that they needed ingredients for 300 families. I called Rana for help and the next afternoon the trucks reached Chennai. He coordinated with others here and I don’t know how many truckloads he sent, but I know that thousands benefitted with it,” says Vishal.
He also added that Rana helped the South Indian Artistes Association (SIAA) to get financial benefits. “I told him that the SIAA didn’t have money. I planned a cricket match and asked Rana to get Venky Sir and other actors to Chennai. He immediately responded and ensured that the cricket match was successful. Today the SIAA has no debts and now has Rs 9 crore in its account. This is all because of Rana’s help,” adds Vishal.
He added that he also had requested Rana to take membership in SIAA, so that the association could get some money. “He immediately paid Rs 2 lakh and took the membership,” reveals Vishal. Talking about Rayudu, Vishal says that he spoke the dialogues in Anantapur slang.
