Ashwin pins hopes on this horror comedy
The actor shares his anticipations with the upcoming Raju Gari Gadhi sequel.
Actor Ashwin is extremely confident about his latest film, Raju Gari Gadhi 3. He was also there in the earlier two prequels of the franchise. “The first one was a great success, but I didn’t get much name from it. In the second one, Nagarjuna and Samatha were dominating and my role was added just for entertainment. Now, I am playing the lead in this third one and I am confident that this one’ll bring me a good break,” says Ashwin.
The actor then goes on to talk about why the contract fell through with actress Tamannaah who was rumoured to play the female lead.
“We had launched the film with Tamannaah in mind and planned an October release. However, because of her busy dates, she couldn’t do the film. Other big actresses, whom we chose in her place, also faced the same problem. Finally, Avika Gor entered the scenes and she’s been a huge plus for the film. She’s done an extraordinary job, and this film is a big re-entry for her,” says Ashwin.
Talking about the film, Ashwin explains that it’s a horror comedy. “I got to perform in dance and action in this film and it’s a complete ‘mass’ role,” he says, adding that he’s eagerly awaiting for the October 18 release of the film.
