Bunny and I worked out together'
Thakur Anoop Singh talks about his forthcoming film Naa Peru Surya, starring Allu Arjun.
Thakur Anoop Singh, who won brownie points for his portrayal in Winner and Rogue, is all set to impress once again. The Mumbai actor will be seen in the role of a fierce baddie in Allu Arjun’s forthcoming film Naa Peru Surya, directed by Vakkantham Vamsi.
“It’s an intense and strong role filled with amazing action sequences. I play a key role in the narrative. The director has penned an interesting role for me and the film will see one of my best performances till date,” Anoop shares, adding, “I was in talks for the film since last July and I’m glad that I eventually made the cut.”
The actor simply cannot stop raving about Allu Arjun (Bunny). “This is the first time I had the chance to work with him. What makes him a star is that he’s a self-made actor who has come a long way and that clearly reflects in his work. He is humble and very supportive. His ability to switch on and off in front of the camera is amazing. He loved my performance in Singham and even suggested what kind of films I should do down the line,” shares Anoop, adding that both of them bonded big time on the sets.
“Both of us are gymnasts, so naturally, the conversations turned to fitness and films. Sometimes, we even worked out together and I even shared a few of my workout videos,” says Anoop.
On the language (Telugu) front, he shares, “I am picking up Telugu slowly; in fact, I take my dialogues in advance and come prepared to the sets, and I guess filmmakers love me for that (smiles). I understand the meaning of the lines so that I can better express and perform them. I dubbed for my lines in Rogue and will do the same for this film.”
