A silent role for Nara Rohit
The actor is known for his experimental roles in films.
In recent times, several Telugu actors have been experimenting with their roles, depicting various disorders. Mahesh Babu played a schizophrenic in 1: Nenokkadine, Ravi Teja’s character was visually-impaired in Raja The Great, Sharwanand had OCD in Mahanubhavudu and Ram Charan’s character in his upcoming film, Rangasthalam is hearing-impaired.
Now, Nara Rohit is playing a speech-impaired person in his next film. Directed by PB Manjunath, the film is officially launching on Ugadi. Vamsi Rajesh has provided the story and is also writing the dialogues.
“When the director and storywriter narrated the story to Rohit, he felt the role was an emotional one and that it could showcase his performance well. So he immediately agreed to do it,” says a source.
