The pre-release attraction

Valmiki, the Telugu remake of the 2014-Tamil-hit Jigarthanda, which is set to release on  September 20, will test Harish Shankar’s directorial skills as well as actor Varun Tej’s acting prowess. But before all that happens, the film unit have decided to hold a pre-release event of the film on Sunday in Hyderabad. Actor Venkatesh will be gracing the even as the chief guest.

“Valmiki pre-release event being graced by our lovely #VictoryVenkatesh garu on September 15 in Hyderabad! Looking forward to see [sic] you all there,” reads a tweet by Varun Tej, who has already acted with Venkatesh in the hugely successful film F2.

“Varun used that rapport to invite Venkatesh to grace his film’s event, and the senior actor has obliged,” says the source.
