The Andhra Pradesh Government is expected to offer some sops to Balakrishna’s film NTR, a biopic set on the life of his late father, sources say. The producers are planning to apply for the entertainment tax exemption along the lines of the exemption given to his earlier film, Gautamiputra Satakarni, sources say.

Interestingly, the AP Government didn’t offer any sops for the film Rudhramadevi, even though they favored Balakrishna’s film last year, the sources point out. “NTR is pride of Telugu people and also the founder of Telugu Desam Party. So, it is obvious that the government may give tax exemption to this film too,” added the source. While the film is slated for Sankranti release, the audio is to be released on December 16 in Nimmakuru, the birth place of NTR.
