Many Telugu films, whether big or small, are heading to Andhra Pradesh, with filmmakers planning at least one event there. Since all the major cities in AP are well-connected by rail, road and air, the stars have also agreed to promote their films there.

Ram Charan’s upcoming film Rangasthalam is planning its pre-release event at Visakhapatnam on March 18th while Nani’s upcoming film Krishnarjuna Yudham has an event planned at Tirupati this month end.

Meanwhile, the audio release function of Nikhil’s upcoming film Kirrak Party was recently held in Vijayawada, and several film events were held in Rajahmundry, Guntur and Bheemavaram too.

Even the small film Chalo held its success meet at Visakhapatnam some time ago. “These functions are new to the people of Andhra Pradesh, so they are attending in large numbers to see their favourite stars, which serves as a good promotion too. But filmmakers are also holding some media conferences in Hyderabad so that they can cover both the Telugu states,” says a source.
