Bharath's death hinting at drug abuse in Tollywood; brother Ravi Teja under scanner

Mumbai: Ravi Teja’s brother, actor Bharath, died in a road accident few weeks ago. After the fatal accident that took place on Outer Ring Road in the city, Bharath’s phone was seized by the cops.

According to a source, after inspecting his phone data, they have found some links and information about a drug racket that has been brewing for quite some time in the industry. When he was alive, Bharath was once arrested for a drug incident and was always under the scanner after being released. “Initially, no one could identify him as Bharath, but after going through his mobile they found out it was him,” says another source.

Bharath’s funeral was done in a quick and hushed manner by his family. “With the information on his phone, the police has found links between Tollywood and the secretive narcotics world,” says an insider from the industry. There are also reports that Bharath’s elder brother, actor Ravi Teja, is also under the scanner as per instructions from the Excise Department.
