Bholaa Shankar 5 Days Worldwide Collections: Chiru Charm Fails
Bhola Shankar's disappointing streak continues beyond the weekend and its earnings on Independence Day were lackluster. The movie's worldwide collection over 5 days stands at 24 Crore (including GST, the total is 26.5 Crore).
The film's theatrical rights were valued at 79 Crore, indicating a potential loss of 52 Crore. The producer took charge of the release in major regions like Nizam, East, Guntur, and Krishna, similar to instances with Saaho or Radhe Shyam. Initially, Bhola Shankar was anticipated to have a strong start, with predictions even reaching 20 Crore on its opening day.
However, it fell short, managing only 16.25 Crore on day one. Despite having Chiranjeevi as the lead, the film didn't meet expectations, leading to a cumulative collection of 23 Crore. The movie's collection only reached around 2 Crore later on. Despite a chance for recovery on Sunday, it could only muster 5.1 Crore at the box office.
The film's global collection has reportedly reached 33 Crore, while it was produced with a budget of 80 Crore. Given its current trajectory, Bhola Shankar is en route to becoming a box office catastrophe, disappointing Chiranjeevi's fan base. The uncertainty surrounding the movie's future performance is causing anxiety for both the creators and fans alike.
Directed by Meher Ramesh, Bhola Shankar is a Telugu action film and a remake of the 2015 Tamil movie Vedalam. Alongside Chiranjeevi, the film features Tamannaah Bhatia, Keerthy Suresh, and Sushanth.
