Chiru-Charan starrer in the offing?
According to sources, the dad and son have decided to act together in a movie, much to the joy of Tollywood fans.
With the release of Khaidi No. 150, Chiranjeevi has proved to be in the league of star dads of the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan and Dharmendra who have far better careers than their kids.
However, as Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan’s latest film Dhruva that released a few back has also been a tame money-spinner, the latest buzz is that the father and son are now planning to share screen space in a twin-hero movie.
“Ram Charan’s career needs some fresh blood and Chiru’s record-breaking movie after a 10-year gap has become an eye-opener to him. Even when Chiranjeevi appears in a song with Ram Charan, audience go wild. It’s time the two generations come together and a project is being planned with the duo,” says an insider.
Qualitatively, Dhruva is a superior film in which the young actor attempts to change the way we look at Telugu cinema. The grammar of action scenes was different and the presentation and packaging were far slicker. He worked hard on his body language whereas except for the hair dye, Chiranjeevi doesn’t even try in Khaidi No. 150.
