Venkatesh keen to play his age
The film is slated to hit the screens on April 7th.
Senior actor Venkatesh is coming up with a film titled Guru, where he plays a boxing coach. Initially, the producer wanted to release the film on January 26th, but dropped the idea and decided to shift to April instead after proper promotions.
“In the film, Venkatesh plays a character that is close to his real age and it has come out very nicely. After watching the film and a few recent Hindi films, Venkatesh has decided to only play roles that suit his age. He doesn’t want to romance actresses and dance around trees anymore. He has told writers to come up with content-based stories rather than love stories and romantic plots,” says a source close to the actor.
That’s said to be the reason he cancelled his next movie that was to be directed by Kishore Tirumala.
“The actor wants to take Guru to the people, because it’s a sports subject and has decided to promote it extensively,” adds the source. The film is slated to hit the screens on April 7th. But it is unclear as to what Venky’s next project will be.
