Dad is a great chef, says Adivi Sesh
The actor is working on Goodachari 2 script during the lockdown
Talented and versatile actor Adivi Sesh is staying at home during the lockdown like everyone else is. He is using this time very wisely. He is writing, editing, and also doing a bit of exercise at home.
“I am writing the script for 'Goodachari 2' and editing my other film 'Major',” said Sesh. He clarified that he is doing the editing through video calls with his director and a few other technicians.
Talking of how he’s managing life during the lockdown, he says, “I am at home with my father. I don’t know cooking. But my father is a fantastic chef and he is making all the meals for us. I am helping by getting the vegetables in the morning,” he adds.
His mother is now in Ireland with his sister, who is studying medicine there. “Both are doing fine and we regularly talk to each other,” the Kshanam star said.
On the professional front, nearly 40 per cent of the shooting for Major is over.
“Just before the lockdown, we had completed a big part of Major at the border. This is the coolest and toughest shoot in my career and it’s an incredible experience,” said the actor.
The shoot took place at a very cold place, he shares. “It was almost Minus 8 degrees and everyone had to wear four to five jackets, one over the other. But we actors could wear only one jacket in front of the cameras. I realised then how difficult the Army job is. They are safeguarding the nation day and night. A big salute to them,” he said.
Major is a biopic on Major Sundeep Unnikrishnan, who was martyred during the Mumbai attacks in November 2008.
“The story is not about one particular incident, it is about the life of Major Sundeep from his childhood till the time when he sacrificed his life for the nation,” Sesh said.
He said he was constantly in touch with the Major’s parents, who were a big support to him. He said he had wished them on the occasion of the Vishu festival on April 14.
The film is being made in Hindi and Telugu and dubbed in languages like Tamil and Malayalam.
“This is my debut film in Hindi and I am working hard for it. I even lost seven kilos for this role,” revealed Adivi Sesh. He is taking care to maintain his physique during the lockdown, and has been using the gym equipment in his home. “I am also taking instructions from fitness trainer, so it’s not a problem,” said the actor.
A huge set has been erected at RFC in Hyderabad and some of the pivotal scenes will be shot there after the lockdown ends.
Shobhita Dhulipa is playing the female lead in 'Major'. This is the second time that Adivi Sesh is teaming up with her. “We worked together in 'Goodachari'. She is a talented actress and I am happy to work with her again in 'Major',” he said.
