Varun Tej to train under Neeraj Goyat
The actor left for Mumbai to train under the first Indian boxer to have made it to WBC world rankings.
Varun Tej has left for Mumbai in the wee hours on Sunday to train under Neeraj Goyat, the first Indian boxer to have made it to WBC world rankings, for his forthcoming untitled film.
Varun will be seen in the role of a boxer in the upcoming Kiran-Korrapati directorial.
“Varun has been prepping up for his role since last year. He even went to the US and trained under Olympic boxing gold medallist Tony Jeffries. So to keep the momentum going, the actor decided to head for another short stint of training in boxing,” a source close to the development said.
In his Mumbai schedule, Varun will receive training on various nuances of boxing, apart from a few physical exercises. Incidentally, Varun turns a year on Sunday, so it’ll be a working birthday for the F2 star. The filmmakers have also roped in Hollywood stuntman, Larnell Stovall, to compose fight scenes for the action entertainer,
Meanwhile the director is giving final touches to the script, and plans to take the film on floors soon.`
