Vishnu Vishal to reprise Nani’s role in Tamil
Insiders reveal that Nelson Venkadesan of Monster fame will direct the Tamil version of Jersey.
There are reports suggesting Rana Daggubati, who was impressed with the recent Tollywood Nani-Shraddha Srinath sports drama Jersey, has bought the Tamil remake rights. The news now is that Rana has approached actor Vishnu Vishal, who is also a cricketer in real life, for the film revolving around a cricketer. Gowtham Tinnanuri directed the original.
A source close to the production informs us that Rana is looking out for a Gen Y filmmaker to helm the Tamil version.
When DC contacted Vishnu, he did confirm that he was being approached. “Talks are on and everything is going positively.
