Sivagami mini series in the offing
Producer Shobhu Yarlagadda does not rule out a third part of the Baahubali franchise.
The success of Baahubali has triggered a great deal of interest and many are keen to know what project producer Shobhu Yarlagadda and his partner Prasad Devineni are doing next. Several others have also been asking if the franchise will have a third part.
Though it has been made clear on several occasions that the film series has ended, Shobu, while taking a class on ‘Indian Folklore to Celluloid’ at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, shared, “If we find a good story for Baahubali, we will do it. But not just for the sake of it.”
Talking about a mini TV series, which the team is coming up with, based on the book ‘Rise of Sivagami’, he shared, “This live action series will be made on a huge scale. It will revolve around Sivagami’s rise to power. All the famous characters will be there, but in their younger days. The cast will obviously be different.”
