Prabhas to play Lord Rama
The actor has teamed up with director Om Raut to play the epic character in the onscreen adaptation of most popular Indian epic, Ramayana
Om Raut of Tanhaji fame is gearing to make Adipurush, a 3D feature film, and none other than Prabhas is gearing to play the title role.
The screen adaptation of the epic story that revolves around the triumph of good over evil is touted to be director Om Raut’s Magnum Opus.
It will be shot in Hindi and Telugu and dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and several foreign languages.
Bhushan Kumar of T-Series will partner with Retrophiles in bringing this vision on screen. The extravaganza is slated to have a gigantic release.
Talking about Adipurush, Prabhas said, “Every role and every character comes with its own challenges, but portraying a character like this comes with tremendous responsibility and pride. I am very excited to portray this character from our epics, specially the way Om has designed it. I am sure the youth of our country will shower all their love on our film.”
The 40-year-old actor will play Lord Rama, an epic character in the most popular chapter of Indian culture.
The poster that was released shows a character holding a bow, (which resembles Lord Rama), and beside that, there’s this character of Hanuman. At the beneath, we can see a glimpse of Ravana.
Hence, Adipurush will be an on screen adaptation of the Indian epic that revolves around the triumph of good over evil.
