Palak Lalwani made her debut a couple of years ago with Abbayitho Ammayi. Now, she is waiting for her second Telugu film Juvva to release this Friday.

“I am playing a girl-next-door in it,” says Palak, adding that it’s not the success or failure of the film, it’s hard work that she believes in. “Though my debut film didn’t do well, director Trikoti garu called me after he saw my performance. I always believe in hard work and even my father told me the same when I entered into films,” says the actress, who reveals that Anushka Shetty and Sai Pallavi inspire her.

“They do strong roles , which inspire me. I am still trying to figure my way out in the industry and once I reach that level, I too will choose strong roles. Now, I only trust the director and these experiences are learning lessons,” says the actress, who is watching many Telugu films nowadays to learn the language.

“I am learning Telugu and watching Nithya Menen and Sai Pallavi’s films. Also, I watch Mahesh Babu’s films as I am a big fan of his,” she says, adding that many people are asking her when she is going to do a film with him.

Meanwhile, Palak has signed another Telugu film opposite Vishwant of Kerintha and Manamantha fame, and a Tamil film opposite G.V. Prakash. Shooting of these two films is also complete and Palak says she is waiting for their release.

On the academic front, she has yet to complete her graduation. “I have to finish my final year of graduation in psychology and philosophy”, she says, adding that it is hard to do academics and films at the same time.
