I believe in unique roles, says Nabha Natesh
Actress Nabha Natesh says that she's getting to know more about the craft of acting by working in the Telugu film industry.
After Adhugo, Kannada actress Nabha Natesh will next be seen in an untitled Telugu film directed by Rajasekhar Naidu. She is paired opposite Sudheer Babu in the rom-com.
Sharing how she bagged the role, Nabha reveals, “I guess the filmmakers were particular and were looking for certain features in the female protagonist — like being expressive and having good body language. I’m pleased that they found these qualities in me. I auditioned and eventually got the project,” she shares, adding, “The film is a completely different romantic comedy and promises to be a fun-filled experience whilst showcasing my comic side too.”
Apparently, the actress bonded well with co-star Sudheer on the sets of the film. “We share great camaraderie and gelled well. Our conversations on the set include talking about films, cars, etc. He’s a cool co-star to work with.”
This is Nabha’s second Telugu film and the actress says that the experience of working in Tollywood is like exploring the filmy world. “I believe in the concept of taking up ‘unique roles’ because unless you do something interesting and unique, you’ll not get noticed, and that’s how I landed my two Telugu projects. Getting to know more about the craft and meeting new technicians and people is always like getting enlightened,” shares the theatre artiste-turned-actress.
Nabha says she’s also picking up the language. “Telugu is petty similar to Kannada and I can understand the language. But on the sets, with the entire crew talking in Telugu, I am picking it up more quickly than I thought I would,” she says.
