Rakul Preet Singh is one of the busiest actresses in Tollywood and now, the actress is eagerly looking forward to the Friday release of her upcoming film Sarrainodu, where she stars opposite Allu Arjun.

“This is the first mainstream commercial film for me as it is a typical Boyapati film with loads of action,” says Rakul while adding, “I play a village girl, who is shy and hardly talks. Also, for the first time I don’t wear make-up.”

Rakul has been pitted opposite some of the best dancers of Tollywood, like Ram Charan, Jr NTR and now Allu Arjun. “Yes, they are all very good dancers. I was initially scared because they dance very well. So I would tell the choreographer that I need an extra day to practice,” says Rakul.

Her role in Sarrainodu is different from her earlier film Nannaku Prematho. “This is my tenth Telugu film. My earlier films were commercial ones too, but those were different, with different subjects,” she says.

The second lead in the film is played by actress Catherine. “I never feel insecure when there are two female leads. When the story was narrated to me, I knew what my role was all about and what Catherine’s was. I don’t look  much into others’ roles as I am confident and have faith in myself. Everyone’s role is important in the film and Catherine’s character is also very nice,” says Rakul.
Chiranjeevi and Allu Arjun had earlier praised Rakul saying that that apart from being a beauty with brains, she was also very well behaved. And Rakul says she will never forget that. “I can’t tell you how happy that makes me. When it comes from people like Chiru sir and Allu Arjun, it’s always special. When people say good things about me, judge me based on my behaviour and work that makes me happier than a film’s success would,” she says.

She adds, “I think the way an actor behaves also matters. I don’t know whether they will give me a project just because I am cooperative and behave nicely, but it really helps. I never demand for anything or never throw tantrums at work,” she says.

She adds that she is happy working in T’wood but isn’t averse to Bollywood offers. “I am not in a hurry to do Hindi films. If it is destined, when it has to happen, it will.”

In fact she will be seen in the Hindi film Shimla Mirchi, directed by Ramesh Sippy. The actress has also signed a Tamil film opposite Vishal. “Yes, it was a conscious decision to sign a Tamil film after a gap. It is better to work in one place,” she says.

The actress will be working for the second time with Ram Charan in the remake of Thani Oruvan. “Yes, I watched  the Tamil film and I am eager to do it in Telugu. This will be my second time with Charan and director Suri Sir,” she says, adding that she has also signed a project with director Malineni Gopichand opposite Sai Dharam Tej.
